ME,
MYSELF AND I |
As a history student I should start this by
telling you how even the Ancient Romans... but then again I've always liked Phoenicians more. I was
born in May 1973 in Vantaa in the outskirts of Helsinki (about the same neighbourhood where
Finnish Formula 1 driver Mika Häkkinen is born). I lived the first decade of my life in
Helsinki but then my father got a new job and we moved to Pirkkala, right next to the city of
Tampere, where I've been stucked ever since. |

I wish you
welcome to my humble web site. This is introductory page for all you web surfers and
accidental tourists who for some unknown reason have popped into my homepage. I courage
you to scribble your marks to my guestbook. Who knows I
might even like to contact you or check out your website sometime... |
What kind of nerd puts a picture of himself
sitting in front of computer in his homepage? |
What
will I become when I grow up? That innocent little question from the childhood ;-) I fit
pretty well to this typical Generation-X stereotype. Grown up with TV, overeducated but
not enough self-esteem to get a decent job, because couple of years older have blocked
most fitting career opportunities. First I studied myself a degree in computer science
from the Tampere Commercial College. I guess I managed to absorb something from there
'cause I am still fumbling with these damn machines. |
Then the old 'humanist' in me
raised its ugly head and I decided to start history studies at the University of Tampere.
So I am currently a fourth year history major planning to graduate in a couple of years. This fall I was lucky to be chosen into a teacher training and currently I'm teaching at high school and studying education to get my teachers diploma next summer. Is this the field I want to earn my living in the future? Well, yes, I have nothing against
that kind of scenario. On the other hand, I have become more and more interested in
graphics and web design lately, so que sera... |

Wonder
what those strange symbols in left side of the page are? Well, I have drawn those kind of
hieroglyphs all my life. Almost every page corner of my studybooks is full of those. My
sister once said I should show them for some shrink, so here's an example for whole world
to see. |
