The topic of my PhD thesis is on research policy, research funding practices
and international cooperation inside the European Union. My
research interests are in the domestication of world cultural ideas and
models to a national level and the processes of transnational network
governance.
My main approach to my research subject is via the field of discourse analysis; mainly with rhetorical and narrative methods.
I am currently funded by the Finnish Doctoral Program of Social Sciences, SOVAKO, and the project Moderns: A Study
on the Governmentality of World Society. The project is led by Academy
professor Pertti Alasuutari. My research exchange journey to the University of California, Irvine is additionally supported by the Emil Aaltonen Foundation.
